The Lancers will face Olathe Northwest in what was supposed to be their last home double-header Tuesday, May 8. The rained out Olathe East game has now been re-scheduled for Wednesday, May 9. Regardless, the seniors will be honored in between the Olathe Northwest games. This is the senior class that has put Lancer softball back on the "map" so to speak in the Sunflower League. Prior to their freshman year, the Lancers had won just one game in the previous two seasons. Since that time the Lancers have made it to the sub-state championship game twice and posted a 14-8 w/l record the last two seasons. They are off to the best start in Lancer softball history at 10-0. Come out to the park and honor these ladies for what they have done for the sport of softball and Shawnee Mission East.
These lovely Varsity ladies hope to dominate softball Regionals on Tuesday!

Members of the Lancer softball team recently volunteered at the "Run For Justice" event Saturday, May 5. Proceeds benefit those in need of legal aid in Western Missouri. Our players served as race monitors at the 5K which took place on the Plaza. Our East team was also able to donate over $90 to the Komen Foundation after collections were taken at our annual Pink Night double-header. Thanks to Lisa Erickson and Linda Slemp for coordinating these events.
